Old is the New "New"

I've had the pleasure of photographing this family since it was just the two of them and their fur babies. Our first session was a romantic couples session out at a quirky farm with rolling prairie and pine tree groves .  We headed home giddy from the fun afternoon and loaded with fresh hot peppers, onions and honey after chatting with the farm's owner at the end of the session.

A couple of years later, I get the call that the fur babies were going to have a human brother and in keeping with the farm theme, we found the fall colors and hay bales at one of my favorite regional parks (and farm!). Beautiful momma-to-be rocked her cowboy boots during the maternity session in honor of her late father who was a cowboy boot salesman and baby-to-be's namesake, Eugene.

After much anticipation, I got to meet the newest addition to the family for our newborn session and even got all the fur babies to "smile" for a family shot!

The "Eugenes" have been inspiration for many wonderful causes and many miles run to raise money for organizations such as Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation - MMRF (to help kick cancer's butt) and Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota (to support the programs of the urgent needs fund). Like the origin of the classic name suggests, this little man is starting off with "noble" aspirations inspired by loss and powered by love.
